Indore: In Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, the administration demolished an illegally built farm house of a real estate trader on Monday. The police informed about this.
Police said that there is an allegation against the businessman that he along with four people in this farm house in Kshipra area had made his 32-year-old wife a victim of gang rape and unnatural acts several times by inhuman torture.
The accused businessman husband has been identified as Rajesh Vishwakarma.
According to the police, the five accused were arrested on January 16 on the FIR lodged by a woman belonging to Chhattisgarh.
According to the report of Dainik Bhaskar, the accused had also kept this 32-year-old government teacher of Chhattisgarh hostage at the farm house. The police have registered a case against the husband, his three friends and a servant.
According to another report of Dainik Bhaskar, Rajesh Vishwakarma, accused of gang-raping his wife, was thrown out of the house in Nagda by his family members. After this Rajesh came from Nagda to Indore.
His family members say that due to quarrels and bad habits, they do not belong to Rajesh. In Nagda, three cases are registered against him for assault and abusing.
A sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) of the administration said that separate illegal constructions were done on 27,000 square feet in the farm house of about one lakh square feet of the arrested businessman.
He said that looking at the amenities provided in the farm house, it seems that this place was being used as a den of immoral activities.
Meanwhile, District Magistrate Manish Singh said that the farm house of this businessman, accused of inhuman treatment with his wife, was built completely illegally and it was already under investigation.
He said, ‘Demolition of this farm house is a clear message of the administration to criminals with perverted mindset.’
Police quoted the FIR as saying that the businessman from Indore got married to a woman from Chhattisgarh after getting acquainted at a matrimonial site, even though he was already married.
According to the police, the woman alleges that her husband and his accomplices gang-raped and committed unnatural acts on her several times at the farm house between November 2019 and October 2021.
The woman also alleged that during the gang rape her private parts were lit with a burning cigarette and threatened to kill her by assaulting her, police said.
A sub-inspector of police said that the victim woman says that when she somehow escaped from the clutches of the accused and reached her maternal home in Chhattisgarh, one of them reached there with the intention of harming her.
The sub-inspector said that on the FIR lodged by the woman, her husband and four others have been arrested from different areas of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and a detailed investigation is on in the matter.
According to Hindustan Times, city’s Superintendent of Police (CSP) Pankaj Dixit said, ‘The woman had met builder Rajesh Vishwakarma through a matrimonial site in 2019. They got married in November 2019. No member of Vishwakarma’s family attended the wedding. Later Vishwakarma moved to Indore with the woman and started living in a farmhouse in Shipra area. For 15 days they lived in a normal manner, but later the accused started torturing her.
He told, ‘The accused had snatched all the clothes of the woman and used to force her to remain naked. Along with raping the woman several times, she was also burnt with a cigarette. He also used to arrange for doctors to treat her at the farm house, as she was badly injured.
He told that in November 2021, the accused let the woman go on the condition that she would not talk to anyone about it. Dixit said that the police have also arrested Rajesh’s employee Ankesh Baghel and his two friends Vivek Vishwakarma and Vipin Bhadauria.
The police have registered a case against the accused under IPC sections 376D (gang rape), 377 (unnatural sex), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation). The five accused were produced in the court on Monday and sent to jail.
