Anuppur: The condition of the system in Madhya Pradesh has become so bad that justice is being given here, not alive, but after death. A living example of this plight has come from Anuppur district. Here a dead person has got justice after a year. In fact, a year ago, a man had embraced death after getting fed up with the torture of a woman and a man. Before the suicide, justice was demanded through a suicide note, after which a year has passed, the deceased has got justice.
The police have arrested one by forming a case against the harassers, while the woman who has been falsely implicated in the case of misconduct and demanding money is still absconding, which the police are actively searching for.
According to the information, Hemraj Jaiswal, a retired colliery employee resident in village Dhirol under Deohara outpost area, committed suicide by hanging himself in the bari of his own house on 16 January 2020, which was informed to the police by the family members. After reaching the spot, inspecting the site, the dead body was brought down and the police seized a social note from the pocket of the deceased’s pants.
In the suicide note, the reason for the suicide was found to be tortured by Devki Jaiswal and Santosh Singh Chandel threatening to file a case of false rape on demand and non-delivery of Rs 2 lakh. In the matter, the police started investigation after establishing a case. The team took the statements of the relatives of the deceased where they told that a demand of Rs 2 lakh was being made by Devki Jaiswal.
He further told that for not paying the money, threats were made to implicate him in a false case of rape and get Santosh Singh Chandel murdered. Apart from this, articles were found demanding money by accused Santosh Singh Chandel and Devki Jaiswal from different numbers.
During this, Hemraj Jaiswal became so mentally disturbed that he committed suicide by hanging, after which the police, along with investigating the case, got the handwriting investigation done of the suicide note found in the pocket of the deceased’s pants, according to the investigation report of the suicide note. Key writing and signature matched with the writing of deceased Hemraj.
Investigating the whole matter by the police, Santosh Singh Chandel has been arrested while registering a case under section 306, 34 against two accused Devki Jaiswal and Santosh Singh Chandel, both residents of village Dhiraul. At the same time, Devki Jaiswal is still absconding, for which the police are searching vigorously.
