Mohini Ekadashi 2022: These days Vaishakh, the favorite month of Lord Vishnu, the savior of the world, is going on. Meanwhile, tomorrow is the fasting festival of Mohini Ekadashi. Pawan Vrat of Mohini Ekadashi is kept on Ekadashi of Shukla Ekadashi of Vaishakh month. The coming of Ekadashi on Thursday is considered very auspicious. Thursday is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Ekadashi being on such a Thursday, the importance of this day has increased even more.
According to mythological beliefs and legends, on the day of Mohini Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu took the incarnation of Mohini to save the nectar urn that came out during the churning of the ocean from the demons, hence it is called Mohini Ekadashi.
On this day, Lord Vishnu, taking the form of a Mohini to defeat the demons, fed the nectar that came out of the churning of the ocean to the gods, which resulted in the defeat of the demons in the Devasura battle. The authority of the gods was again established over the heavens. This work could be accomplished only because of the Mohini form of Shri Hari Narayan Vishnu, hence the importance of Mohini Ekadashi increases immensely.

Mohini Ekadashi date ends – 12 May 2022, till 6.51 pm in the evening.
Significance of Mohini Ekadashi Vrat
According to Hindu belief, every Ekadashi that falls every month has its own importance. But Mohini Ekadashi has special significance. According to Padma Purana, when Yudhishthira asked Lord Krishna about the importance of Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month, Shri Krishna, remembering Lord Rama, said to Yudhishthira, Lord Rama had asked the same question to Maharishi Vashistha in Tretayuga. Responding to this, Maharishi Vashistha said that Mohini Ekadashi is the Ekadashi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month. The sins of performing this Ekadashi are destroyed and the person becomes free from the illusion of the world.
Mohini Ekadashi Puja Method
People observe the fast of Mohini Ekadashi to get victory over mental disorders, over sufferings, over diseases, wishing for wealth, splendor and opulence. Get up early in the morning on this day and wear clean clothes after taking bath. Light a lamp in the temple of worship and take a vow of fasting. Anoint the picture or idol of Lord Shri Hari Vishnu with Gangajal and then wear or offer yellow colored clothes to the Lord. Do tilak of Lord Vishnu. Offer fruits, flowers and prasad in the worship. Keep in mind that only sattvik things should be offered in the prasad. Also, offer Tulsi leaves to the Lord. Any worship of Lord Vishnu is considered incomplete without Tulsi leaves. After this light a lamp and incense. Read Mohini Ekadashi fasting story and perform aarti. In the end, with folded hands, definitely apologize to God.
