New Delhi: Makar Sankranti is celebrated every year after Lohri. There is a tradition of eating sesame on this day. That’s why today we have brought you the recipe of making delicious jaggery-sesame and rice laddus. By eating jaggery, sesame and rice together, your body gets enough nutrients. Consumption of sesame provides strength and energy to your body. On the other hand, eating jaggery strengthens your immunity. Due to this, your body is protected from many seasonal diseases, so let’s know the recipe of making jaggery-sesame and rice laddus-
Ingredients for making jaggery-sesame and rice laddus-
-200 grams rice flour
-200 grams jaggery
-100 grams sesame
-50 grams dry coconut
-2 tsp ghee
-½ tsp cardamom powder
-8 to 10 threads saffron
A little mixed dryfruits (finely chopped or ground)
Recipe for making Jaggery-sesame and rice laddus-
To make this, first of all, take a pan and add rice flour to it.
Then you fry it on low flame. Then when its color starts changing, switch off the gas.
After this, put sesame in the pan and fry it well. It will take you about 2 minutes.
Then you mix these roasted sesame seeds in the roasted rice flour.
After this, add grated coconut, cardamom powder, saffron, and dryfruits and mix it.
Then you put a pan on the gas to make jaggery syrup.
After this, you grind the jaggery finely and put half a cup of water in it.
Then you let this syrup cook on low flame. After this, when the jaggery dissolves well in it, then your sugar syrup is ready.
If you press a drop of this syrup with your finger and see that a string is formed, then turn off the gas.
Then, to make its laddoos, add jaggery syrup and 1 teaspoon desi ghee to the sesame mixture.
After this, mix all this mixture well.
Then apply a little ghee on your hands and make round laddus out of it.
