Maharashtra A case of brutal gang rape of a teenager has come to light in Thane. On the protest of the teenager, the accused cut her sensitive parts with teeth. Apart from an employee of the Merchant Navy, a history-sheeter crook is also included among the accused. On the complaint of the victim girl, the police have arrested the three accused by registering a case under the POCSO Act. The police is investigating the matter.
According to the information received from Thane Crime Branch (Branch Five), this incident happened on Friday. The victim teenager had filed a case in this regard at the Chitalsar police station of Wagle Estate Division. The victim had told in her complaint to the police that on Friday afternoon, the three accused forcibly took her to a flat in Kalher in Bhiwandi and tied her hands and feet. During this, when the victim protested, the accused ate her sensitive parts with teeth and then all three took turns to gang-rape her.
One of the accused was a merchant navy employee.
According to Thane Crime Branch, one of the three accused involved in the August 26 incident, Akash Kanojia (22) is an employee of the Merchant Navy, while the other accused Sachin Kamble (30) is a history-sheeter crook of the city. Police is trying to search the criminal record of the third accused. The police have identified the third accused as Asu (20). It is being told that this third accused also used to do vagabonds in his locality and surrounding area.
The accused and the victim live in the same area
Police said that the victim teenager is a resident of Wagle Estate area. At the same time, the three accused involved in the incident also live at a distance in the same area. According to the police, one of the accused was already in contact with the girl. A case has been registered against the three accused under the Rape and Child Sexual Harassment (POCSO) Act.
