Now another controversy has started with 58 students being thrown out of a school. It was told that 58 students protesting against hijab restrictions in Shivamogga district have been suspended. However, the school principal has denied all such reports.
There were reports that 58 students of a school in Shiralakoppa taluk of Shivamogga district have been suspended for protesting against not being allowed to wear the hijab. Talking to a private channel, the DC of Shivamogga denied all such reports. He said that he also contacted the headmaster and asked him to submit the suspension order in his office, but the former refused to issue any such order.
The DC further said that action will be taken against the students only if they behave indecently. Meanwhile, other protesters have also been booked under Section 144 of CrPC for violating prohibitory orders. For the last three days, the police and Tehsildar are informing the students about the rules. A case under section 144 of CrPC was registered against nine people for violating prohibitory orders issued by the Shivamogga district authority on Thursday. They had protested against the officials of PU College in the district headquarter town for not allowing Muslim girls to wear burqa on the campus.
