Police officers reached the dhaba after the incident
A customer was shot dead at a dhaba in Kanpur Dehat due to a dispute over the bill. The incident spread panic in the area. The police have arrested the accused who shot. The deceased youth had come to the dhaba with his friends to eat food. The accused who shot is the district co-convenor of Bajrang Dal and is associated with RSS. He is a friend of the dhaba operator. The accused had shot the security guard posted at the dhaba with his rifle.
The incident took place at Umran Dhaba located on National Highway-2 near Rania Umran village, industrial area of Kanpur Dehat. Yogesh Parikh had come to eat dinner at the dhaba on Saturday night with his friends Ajay Rajawat, Neeraj Sahu, Shivam Sharma and Asim Kha. Everyone ate food together, then went to the counter to pay the bill. There was a dispute at the counter regarding bill payment. The dispute turned into a fight.
Security guard shot with rifle
The hotel operator’s friend Pushpendra was sitting near the bill counter. He snatched the rifle of guard Radheshyam Sharma sitting nearby and opened fire. The bullet fired from the rifle hit Yogesh. He was seriously injured. There was a commotion at the dhaba due to the firing. Injured Yogesh was sent to the district hospital for treatment. Seeing his condition critical, the doctor referred him to Hallett Hospital in Kanpur. Yogesh died during treatment here.
Accused Pushpendra is the leader of Bajrang Dal
CO Arun Kumar Singh said that the accused Pushpendra Singh who opened fire has been arrested. He is a resident of Auraiya district. Pushpendra is the district co-coordinator of Bajrang Dal of Kanpur Dehat. He is also associated with RRS. Pushpendra Singh happened to meet the son of a dhaba operator in the RSS shakhas. Due to this connection, he became friends with the dhaba operator. Pushpendra lives at Dhaba only.
