Akhilesh Yadav has reached Lucknow after finishing the election campaign. After this he called a meeting of his close leaders. In this meeting he announced withdrawal of the decision to boycott news anchors. A leader present in the meeting said that Akhilesh Yadav is angry with the arbitrariness of Congress. He said that the decision to boycott some journalists was the decision of the India Alliance. This decision was taken on the initiative of Congress.
SP was ready for unity of alliance
Samajwadi Party was not in favor of it then. But the party was ready for the unity of the alliance. The Congress party wanted to boycott some more anchors. But then this could not happen due to pressure from some allies. After the meeting of the Coordination Committee of India Alliance in Delhi, Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal had announced the decision to boycott news anchors. Which was recommended by the media committee of the alliance.
Congress leaders broke the decision
Samajwadi Party says that it was the Congress leaders who broke this decision. What should we do in such a situation? From Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to former MP CM Kamal Nath did not agree to this decision. Both the leaders gave interviews to the boycotted anchors. The Congress leadership did not even ask for an answer from him. That is why we have also decided that we will not boycott any journalist. This decision of the Samajwadi Party is being considered an important decision amidst the ongoing tension with the Congress. From Akhilesh Yadav’s stance it seems that he has lost faith in the India alliance.
