There is a dispute with the Ahmedabad team that the owner of this team has a relationship with a company in the betting market. After the controversy, the BCCI formed a committee which has submitted its report.
The Ahmedabad team has been bought by CVC Group for Rs 5624 crore. The team has received the letter of intent. Now the team can soon give the list of its three players. It is believed that Mumbai Indians’ star batsman Hardik Pandya can be seen captaining the Ahmedabad team in the 15th season of the Indian Premier League.
The all-rounder, who has played for Mumbai Indians since his IPL debut in 2015, was released ahead of the upcoming mega auction. Therefore, he will either be selected by one of the two new franchises or will take part in the auction pool. Before Hardik Pandya, there was speculation about Shreyas Iyer becoming the captain of the Ahmedabad team. However, nothing has been confirmed yet.
According to media reports, Hardik Pandya has been included in his team by the Ahmedabad franchise and he is also ready to lead the team. However, there is no official confirmation yet. While former cricketer Ashish Nehra can be the head coach of the team. Guru Gary Kirsten, who won the 2011 World Cup for India, can join Ahmedabad as a mentor.
