According to officials, security has been tightened to ensure peaceful celebrations in Kashmir ahead of Republic Day. Arrangements have been made from ground to sky for security.
Area domination and surprise search operations are being conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security personnel. Officials said that along with the city police and other district headquarters, paramilitary forces including CRPF personnel are also involved in this operation. Apart from this, check posts have been set up at various places in Srinagar, especially at the entry points of the city and other districts.
