India sent 184 soldiers of Myanmar back to their country
India has sent 184 soldiers of Myanmar back to their country. They had fled to Mizoram after an encounter with an ethnic insurgent group last week. An officer has given this information. An Assam Rifles official said a total of 276 Myanmar soldiers had entered Mizoram last week and 184 of them have been sent back.
He said they were flown by Myanmar Air Force planes from Lengpui airport near Aizawl to Sittwe in neighboring Rakhine state. He said that the remaining 92 soldiers would be sent back today.

Officials said about 635 Myanmar soldiers have fled to Mizoram, along with 276 who entered last week, as their camps have been taken over by ethnic armed organizations and pro-democracy forces. He told that 359 of those soldiers have already been sent back to their country.
104 Myanmar soldiers were sent back in November
In November, 104 Myanmar Army soldiers were flown by Indian Air Force (IAF) helicopters from various locations in Mizoram to the border town of Moreh in Manipur and then sent back.
