IND Vs SA: Captain Kohli will return in the third test match between India and South Africa. He was ruled out in the second Test due to a back strain. Kohli will make many changes as he returns for the third Test in Cape Town starting Tuesday. The captain of the Test team said that fast bowler Mohammad Siraj has not yet recovered from the injury sustained during the second Test. In such a situation, another player will be taken in his place in the team.
Siraj had developed a hamstring complaint while bowling during the first innings of the Johannesburg Test. Although the 27-year-old returned to bowl in both the innings, he could not perform well.
Virat fit perfectly
“I am fully fit but Siraj is yet to recover from his injury in the last game and as such he is not ready to take the field in the third Test.
Team India has not yet taken the name of the returning player in place of this bowler. India also have Ishant Sharma and Umesh Yadav in hand, and both will have no problem playing with the red ball at the Newlands track. Ishant and Umesh have over 100 and 50 Test experience respectively and it is unlikely that India will tinker with their four-pacer policy for Newlands’ decider.
Me and the head coach, the vice-captain – will meet soon to decide who should replace Siraj. It is difficult for us to ascertain who will play because everyone is good bowling and batting well.
