New Delhi: Important hearing on Varanasi’s Gyanvapi Masjid case is to be held today. Varanasi court will hear the matter after 11 am today. On behalf of the Muslim side, questions have been raised regarding the survey on the commissioner. There will be a special hearing on this. At the same time, the team that went to survey the mosque premises today will also present its side. The team will tell the court how it was prevented from conducting the survey. On the other hand, Hindu organizations have announced a show of strength in the Gyanvapi campus today.
In fact, on the orders of the Civil Court, the survey, which ran for three consecutive days, had to be finished in two days. The survey work is not yet completed. On Saturday, the second day of the survey, there was a lot of uproar over the survey team going inside the mosque, after which it became difficult for the team to work.
On Saturday, the survey team and videography team reached outside the mosque but could not enter inside due to protests. The battle over whether or not to enter the Gyanvapi Masjid premises was going on since Friday. A large number of police were also deployed outside the mosque as a precautionary measure.
When the survey team reached Gyanvapi Masjid on Friday, there was a lot of uproar. The ruckus did not increase much in the presence of the police, but the survey work got stuck. In fact, the Muslim side raised doubts about fair action in this case and demanded the removal of the court commissioner, but on Saturday, the court rejected this appeal.
