In Section A, there will be 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying 10 questions carrying one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Each MCQ provides four options out of which only one is the correct answer. Candidates can mark their choice by clicking it.
In Section B, there will be 10 Multiple Choice Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each. Every MSQ is the same. Each MSQ is similar to an MCQ, with the exception that the MSQ may include one or more of the given four correct options. In Section C, there will be a total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions consisting of 10 one-mark questions and 10 two-mark questions. The response to NAT queries is a signed real number that must be entered using the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor. For NAT questions, no option will be displayed.
Sections not to attempt questions will result in zero marks. Negative marks will be deducted for wrong answers in Section A (MCQs). For every wrong answer to a question of one mark, 1/3rd of the mark will be deducted, and for every wrong answer to a question of two marks, marks will be deducted. There is no negative or partial marking provision in Section-B (MSQ). There is also no negative marking in Section-C (NAT).
