Police have registered a case against the in-laws
In Kaushambi, Uttar Pradesh, a woman has made a sensational allegation of rape against her father-in-law and brother-in-law. When the woman complained to her husband, he tortured his wife. Husband went to Saudi Arabia to earn money. He used to do obscene acts by making video calls from Saudi. The woman has also accused her in-laws of demanding dowry. On the complaint of the victim, the police have registered a case against seven people.
The victim woman, resident of Sarai Akil police station area of Kaushambi district, was married to Gulzar Waris, son of Islam Waris in the year 2012. In the marriage, the victim’s father had donated dowry as per his capacity. The woman alleges that her in-laws were not happy with the dowry. Her in-laws kept harassing her regarding this matter.
Father-in-law and brother-in-law raped
The woman alleges that her father-in-law Islam Waris and brother-in-law Mohammad Musa forcefully started having illicit relations with her. She complained about this incident to her husband. It is alleged that after the complaint the husband threatened to divorce her. The victim came to her maternal home and started living. On January 16, the woman reached an agreement with her in-laws. After that she again reached her in-laws’ house. The woman alleges that on June 1, her father-in-law broke the TV and other items kept in her room without any reason. It is alleged that the father-in-law tried to kill him by taking out a licensed gun.
Police registered a case
The woman has filed a case with the police against her husband Gulzar Waris, father-in-law Islam Waris, brother-in-law Musa, Abdul Rahim, Marjina, Abdul Rashid’s son unknown, mother-in-law Naseem Bano. Regarding the incident, Additional SP Samar Bahadur says that a case has been registered in Sarai Akil police station. The woman has accused her father-in-law, brother-in-law, of raping her. There is also an allegation of demanding dowry in the complaint. A case has been registered and investigation has been started.
