New Delhi: A unique heart transplant has happened in America. Here doctors have succeeded in successfully implanting a pig’s heart in the human body. Doctors have transplanted a genetically modified pig’s heart into the body of a 57-year-old man. This is the first time in medical history that a pig’s heart has been successfully implanted in a human body. The University of Maryland Medical School issued a statement saying that this historic transplant was done on Friday. According to reports, a patient named David Bennett, 57, a resident of Maryland, had many serious diseases. He was not considered suitable for a heart transplant, but had to take a decision to save his life as his condition was deteriorating. Eventually the heart of a boar was implanted in David’s body.

It is being told that David Bennett is recovering now and doctors are constantly monitoring how the new organ is working in his body. At the same time, David says that ‘I had only two options left, either to die or to get this heart transplant done.
