    Maharashtra School Reopening: The Maharashtra government has now extended the decision to open schools for 15 days. State Health Minister Rajesh Tope said on Sunday that the demand for reopening of schools in Maharashtra would be considered after the next 10-15 days as the cases of corona virus infection among children are less and students are losing education. . He said that the final decision will be taken by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

    After the entry of Omicron variants in Maharashtra, there has been a big jump in new cases of corona. Now the number of active cases of corona in the state has reached 2.65 lakh. In view of this, the state government has taken this decision to open schools. Health Minister Rajesh Tope thanked the Health Department for completing one year of vaccination.

    There are positive signs about the third wave of the corona epidemic. The positivity rate has come down in metros like Delhi and Mumbai. Along with this, there is also hope of reopening the school. In view of the increasing cases of corona, most of the states have declared holidays in schools. These include big states like Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Maharashtra, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.

    Health Minister Tope said that the situation will be reviewed in the next 15 days and the Chief Minister will take a decision about opening schools in places where the number of corona patients is less.
