Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal
Arvind Kejriwal held a meeting with all the party councilors on Tuesday amid the fear of arrest by the ED investigating the excise case and his claim of running the government from Tihar Jail. After the meeting, the party announced that it will hold a referendum among the people across the country on whether Arvind Kejriwal should remain the Chief Minister or resign in case of arrest.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA and MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak said that the central government has made a fake case under which AAP leaders are being arrested. A few days ago, notice was also received by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. We have defeated BJP in Delhi and Punjab.

The MLA said, wherever Aam Aadmi Party goes, it destroys BJP. We have won elections in Gujarat and Goa. We are winning in Madhya Pradesh. In such a situation, the central ruling party BJP feels that if Kejriwal goes to jail, he will resign from the post of Chief Minister and then he will end the Aam Aadmi Party government.
‘MLA said – Resignation will not be accepted under any circumstances’
He further said, yesterday all the MLAs had told the CM that you should not resign under any circumstances. We will run the government from jail. Today all the councilors told the Chief Minister that he should not even think of resigning, even if he runs the government from Tihar. CM said that he will also discuss with other leaders and MLAs of Punjab.
AAP leader said- will conduct referendum in the country
It was also decided in today’s meeting that we will hold a referendum in the entire Delhi and the country whether Arvind Kejriwal should resign or run the government from jail. We will hold street meetings all over Delhi and take public opinion. All MLAs and councilors will hold street meetings in their areas.
