Devi Prasad Pandey, the chief priest of Maa Sharda temple, has passed away. He breathed his last in Delhi AIIMS. According to AIIMS sources, Devi Prasad Pandey died on Tuesday afternoon. According to AIIMS sources, Devi Prasad Pandey got injured due to some reason, after which some problems started, which is considered to be the major reason for death.
It is being told that Devi Prasad was admitted to AIIMS on November 9 itself. Now five days later, he breathed his last in the hospital itself. Sources said that when he was admitted to the hospital, he was kept in the Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Disorders Unit, where he was undergoing treatment under the supervision of different doctors. After his death, his mortal remains were handed over to his family.

75 year old Pandit Devi Prasad became the chief priest of Sharda Devi temple after the death of his father. At a very young age, he adopted worship and included it in his practical life. It is claimed that to please Mother Sharda, he donated his tongue to Mother Sharda. Pandit Devi Prasad has two sons, one named Pawan Maharaj and the other named Deepu Pandey.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan along with BJP state president Vishnu Dutt Sharma and other leaders have expressed grief over the demise of Devi Prasad Pandey. Devi Prasad has a large number of followers in Madhya Pradesh as well as other parts of the country.
