Lady Don arrested by Special Cell
The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested two women who were supplying illegal weapons. Both of them belong to interstate illegal arm trafficking syndicate. 10 pistols have been recovered from these two women named Chanchal and Vikansha. These weapons were purchased from Khargone, a firearms manufacturer and supplier based in Madhya Pradesh. These pistols were to be supplied to criminals in Delhi-NCR.
Arrested arm dealer Chanchal is 32 years old while Vikansha is 23 years old. Both of them are residents of Bulandshahr. These pistols were to be supplied to gangsters and criminals in Delhi-NCR. The Special Cell had information that gangsters and criminals in Delhi NCR were purchasing sophisticated weapons from arms suppliers based in MP. On October 1, 2023, special information was received that two key female members of this syndicate, Chanchal and Vikas, residents of Bulandshahr, UP had purchased a consignment of pistols from Khargone, MP.
Police laid a trap and caught him
She was going to meet one of her contacts at the MB Road-Surajkund Road intersection in Delhi between 9 pm and 10 pm on October 1, 2023, to deliver the pistol. The police laid a trap there. At around 9:40 pm, Chanchal and Vikansha were seen carrying bags in their hands near the intersection of MB Road-Surajkund Road. The women members of the police team surrounded and controlled them. On searching them, 10 good quality pistols, i.e. 05 pistols of .32 bore and 05 single-shot pistols of .315 bore were recovered from their possession.
The arrested women made revelations
When the arrested women were thoroughly interrogated, they revealed that they had received the consignment of the recovered pistols from a firearms manufacturer and supplier in Khargone, MP, who were to supply to gangsters and hardened criminals in Delhi-NCR. Both have also revealed that they were working for Sonu Choudhary, a resident of Mathura, UP, who had sent them to purchase the pistol from a MP-based supplier. These weapons were to be supplied to a person in Delhi as per the instructions of Sonu Chaudhary.

More than 200 illegal pistols were supplied
Both have revealed that they have been supplying firearms from MP to Delhi and UP for the last two years and during this period they have supplied more than 200 pistols to Delhi. Chanchal’s sister has a criminal background and was previously arrested under the NDPS Act for possessing 25 kg of marijuana in Chhattisgarh in the year 2018.
Sonu Chaudhary, the handler of both the female accused, is Vikansha’s maternal uncle. He has revealed that Sonu Chaudhary was earlier also involved in many criminal cases including murder and NDPS Act. Further interrogation of the arrested two is underway to identify the backward and forward links of this arms syndicate.
