Delhi’s Kejriwal government announced the launch of a comprehensive skill development program for construction workers and laborers in the capital. The aim of this initiative is to open doors to better opportunities and better livelihood for them by promoting their skills. This initiative of the government is an important step towards empowering the workforce within Delhi.
To ensure the objectives of this program, training camps will be set up at all Shramik Chowks and construction sites. These camps will serve as skill development centres, helping workers achieve excellence in their respective fields.

The purpose of this financial assistance is to save the workers from financial losses incurred in exchange of daily wages, so that they can participate in this training in maximum numbers. The government will follow the Recognized Prior Learning (RPL) guidelines to ensure fair compensation for workers engaged in skill enhancement.

The skill training will be conducted in collaboration with key agencies like CSSDCI, NSDC, BECIL and NAREDCO. The inclusion of these agencies is intended to reflect the positive attitude of the government towards providing high quality training and promoting continuous learning among construction workers.
