Jagdish Chandra’s son Kesram, who lives in Panuwa Dhaukhan of Salt Ramnagar, married Geeta alias Guddi, a girl living in Bhikiyasain, on August 21. While Jagdish belonged to a Dalit family, Guddi was the daughter of an upper caste family. Both of them went against the wishes of the family and got married in the famous Garad temple. Guddi’s family never accepted the love affair between Jagdish and Guddi. Many times, while threatening to kill both of them, they were also warned to stay away from each other. Despite this, when both of them ran away and got married, they started burning in the fire of revenge. It is alleged that in this anger, Guddi’s step-father Joga Singh and half-brother Govind Singh together killed Jagdish.
murder after kidnapping
UPP Central President PC Tiwari has told that Geeta’s half-brother and father became enemies of Jagdish’s life only after the information about her marriage to a Dalit. Both of them were always looking for when Jagdish would touch their hands. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Jagdish got his hand in Bhikiyasain itself. From there the accused kidnapped her and later brutally murdered her.
crushed to death
According to the police, Jagdish was killed by crushing him with a hammer-like weapon. His body was found in unclaimed condition. The post-mortem has been done after taking possession. Ramnagar SSP Pradeep Kumar Rai said that three accused have been arrested in this case. However, the weapon used in the crime has not been recovered so far.
The bridegroom had contested the election of the Legislative Assembly
According to the information, the bride Jagdish was very much interested in politics. Therefore, twice under the banner of Uttarakhand Parivartan Party, he has also contested the Legislative Assembly elections twice. However, he had to face defeat in this election. Even before marrying Guddi, he was feeling the danger of life. This threat was from Guddi’s family members. That’s why he also gave a complaint to the police. But the police ignored his complaint.
