Covid-19: The cases of corona virus are once again seeing a boom in the world. The situation in America has deteriorated rapidly due to the new variant Omicron of COVID-19. According to the information, 13 lakh new COVID-19 cases have been registered in America on Monday. No country in the world has ever reported so many cases in a day.
On the other hand, the situation in France is bad. It has the highest number of hospitalizations since April 2021. On Monday, the number of people infected with COVID-19 in French hospitals increased from 767 to 22,749. Let us tell you that due to the Omicron variant, the situation has worsened in countries around the world. There is no space left in the hospitals to admit patients and due to this the situation is getting worse than before.
America
The US has reported a record 1.3 million new Covid-19 cases. Earlier on January 3, more than 10 lakh cases were registered. Meanwhile, the number of patients in hospitals related to COVID has also broken its back. In the US, more than 1,35,500 people are hospitalized with a covid infection. Earlier in January last year, 1,32,051 people were admitted in hospitals together.
France
The number of hospitalized Covid-19 patients in France increased from 767 to 22,749 on Monday. Health Minister Olivier Veran said the Omicron variant, although less dangerous, is causing severe infections and rapidly increasing the number of patients in hospitals.
Britain
Hospitals in the UK are facing a shortage of staff. The UK government on Monday ordered the country’s largest private health companies to provide critical treatment quickly if hospitals are overcrowded with Covid-19 patients.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid has ordered England’s National Health Service (NHS) to enter into a three-month deal with private health companies to allow patients to undergo treatments such as cancer surgery.
Italy
In Italy, the government has taken a tough stand against those who have not vaccinated against COVID-19. The government on Monday issued several new orders regarding vaccination. In an order, the government said that anyone traveling in restaurants, hotels, fairs, local or long distance trains and buses would be required to show vaccination proof. Italy has also made COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for people 50 and older. Those who disobey the order will be fined 100 euros.
Australia
As the Omicron variant spread in the country, cases of corona increased rapidly in Australia as well and the country crossed one million COVID-19 cases on Monday. More than half of these million were recorded in the last week.
China
There has also been a jump in the latest cases of Omicron in China. More cases were reported in the cities of Xi’an and Tianjin. As a result, China has tightened its borders on Tianjin. China is also planning a large-scale COVID-19 test in Tianjin to prevent Omicron from spreading to other provinces.
