Angry villager uprooting road due to poor construction
A case of use of substandard material in road construction has come to light in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh. The quality of bitumen being laid during road construction is poor. When the villagers protested against this by uprooting the road, some parts of the road were hastily repaired. During this time there was a huge uproar between the villagers and the officials. The video of villagers tearing up the road is going viral.
The road is being constructed in Usri Kala Gram Panchayat near Shahganj town on Ghorawal-Khaliyari Highway in Sonbhadra district. The road is being constructed by PWD. Local villagers are not happy with the road construction. They allege that substandard material is being used in the construction work.
Angry villagers uprooted the road
The villagers protested against the use of substandard bitumen and other materials in road construction. During the protest, department officials reached the spot. There was a huge uproar between the officials and the villagers. The villagers got angry and tore up the road with their hands and showed it to the officials. Villagers say that such poor quality material is being used in road construction that the road is easily falling apart.
Video went viral
The video of the villagers uprooting the road is becoming increasingly viral. In the viral video, it is seen that tar is being laid on the road. Despite repeated refusal of the villagers, the departments are carrying out their work on the same standard. The villagers got angry and dug up the road. The video of villagers tearing up the road went viral.
The road was repaired in a hurry
After the video went viral, the department officials hurriedly repaired the road. But the department repaired the road at the same place where there was opposition. But the department did not get the front and rear of the road constructed. The department has still not completed the work on the Ghorawal-Khaliyari link road. Regarding this matter, Chief Development Officer Saurabh Gangwar says that the matter will be investigated. If found guilty, action will be taken.
