Jagdalpur: Bastar Police has arrested the vicious thief who carried out the theft incident last night in a store located on the main road of Jagdalpur city of Chhattisgarh. The arrested accused thief Rakesh Kumar Kartami is a resident of Tongpal, who is an employee of Kiri Store. The accused had started work as an employee in the shop only a few days back. The police registered an offense against the youth and presented him before the court.
During interrogation, the accused thief told the police that he had started work as an employee only a few days ago and he has admitted to the theft, citing the slightest reason behind the theft to buy needy material. Accused Rakesh told that he reached the shop late at around 12 o’clock in the night and with the help of shovel he broke the lock after which he committed the theft.
The entire incident of theft was caught on CCTV installed in Kiri Store and CCTV cameras installed in different places of the city. The police searched all the CCTVs within 12 hours and caught the accused thief. Along with this, the Bastar Police has appealed to the residents of Bastar to install maximum number of CCTVs so that the increasing crimes in Bastar can be stopped. At the same time, Kotwali TI Aman Sahu, Bodhghat TI Lalji Sinha, Parpa police station Dhananjay Sinha, Pramod Thakur played an important role in this matter.
