Raipur: To ensure the safety of women and girls in Chhattisgarh and for the purpose of redressal of their grievances, an app has been created by the Chhattisgarh Police, which is named “Expression”. This app was launched on 01/01/ 2022 by Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Government Bhupesh Baghel in the capital Raipur.
There are mainly 2 features in this app which are embedded under SOS and Complaint system respectively. At present, the SOS system has been implemented in those districts where dial 112 is being operated and the second complaint system will be operated in all the districts of Chhattisgarh.
In compliance with the implementation of this app, dial 112 is also operated in Surguja district, in view of this, under the SOS system in Surguja district, a team has been formed under the direction of Superintendent of Police Surguja Amit Kamble, in which Inspector Mahalaxmi Kuldeep, Inspector Sunil Kerketta, female constable Rizni Tigga and female constable Kaushalya Rajwade have been included. All these complaints received will be ensured to be resolved in coordination with the concerned police stations. At present, the Women’s Safety Cell is being operated from the office of the Superintendent of Police.
This app can be downloaded from play store. The nature of complaint in this app is as follows: Rape, molestation, domestic violence, assault, torture, dowry harassment, kidnapping, child marriage, human trafficking, acid attack, sexual offense with minor, cyber crime etc. have been included in this.
