Raipur: In a private university in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, the matter of giving degree in exchange for money has come to the High Court. While hearing the court, has issued a notice to the Higher Education Department and summoned the reply. The negligence of the officials of the Higher Education Department has also been exposed in the matter.
In fact, Congress leader Sanjeev Agarwal had complained to Manendragarh MLA Vinay Jaiswal in the year 2019, accusing Mats University of selling fake marksheets in the state. The MLA spoke to the employees of Mats University on the phone and asked for the certificate of DCA course.
The university staff agreed to send the money, they issued a diploma certificate dated July 2012 ie back date and sent it with a picture of the MLA. Admission and examination nothing happened and in lieu of money the marksheet was given to the MLA. If action is not taken against the university, Agarwal has filed a petition in the High Court. Describing the entire episode as very serious, the petition has demanded a CBI inquiry and strict action. Taking this seriously, the High Court has asked the officers of the Higher Education Department that how this happened and whose responsibility is it. In the next hearing in the case on June 28, the Higher Education Department has to tell the High Court in this matter what action has been taken so far in this case.
