Police reached the spot after road accident
A terrible accident has happened near Sirsa outpost in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh. In this, a tractor trolley going to Bahedi Gurdwara carrying devotees was hit by a canter from behind. Six of the 35 people on the canter have died in the accident. While more than 15 people have been seriously injured. All the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital. At the same time, the police have taken the bodies of the dead and sent them for post-mortem.
Police said that all the devotees were going from Sitarganj in Uttarakhand to Uttam Nagar Gurdwara in Baheri. The canter coming behind his tractor trolley near Sirsa outpost suddenly became uncontrollable and on seeing it hit the trolley at full speed. The collision was so strong that its sound was heard for a long distance. Hearing the sound of the collision, the nearby people reached the spot and tried to rescue the devotees trapped between the canter and the trolley. In this, policemen also reached from Sirsa post and all the injured were rushed to the hospital. Where doctors declared six devotees dead. In view of the critical condition of 15 pilgrims, they were admitted for treatment. While the rest of the devotees have been discharged from the hospital after first aid.
The injured did not get a place in the hospital
The police immediately rushed all the injured to Baheri CHC, but due to so many emergency cases coming at the same time, there was no space left in the hospital. In such a situation, some of the injured were immediately rushed to Kichha Hospital in Uttarakhand. Treatment of the injured is still going on in both these hospitals. Bareilly District Magistrate Shivakant Dwivedi says that as soon as the incident was reported, SSP Bareilly CMO Bareilly SDM CO etc., reached the spot and made necessary arrangements. Post-mortem of the dead bodies is being conducted after the identification of the dead. Police have taken possession of the canter, search is on for the driver.
