Child lifter gang members in custody of Ranchi Police
A child lifter gang has been exposed in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand. The miscreants of this gang deceive people by using the name of former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and as soon as they see an opportunity, they snatch their children and run away. This gang had carried out a similar incident 20 days ago in Argora police station area of Ranchi. However, after receiving the information, the police swung into action and with the help of surveillance, they arrested eight miscreants of this gang. There are also four women in this gang.
According to Ranchi Police, miscreants used to deceive innocent people in the name of Dhoni. They told him that he would get a house and Rs 5000 in cash from Dhoni. At the same time, when people would fall into the trap, they would call them to some place with their child and then, taking advantage of the opportunity, they would steal their child. This gang had kidnapped a one and a half year old child Rudra Raj on October 22 last month. This incident was committed by a young man and a girl.

The accused tricked the child’s mother Madhu Devi and called her to a secluded place and snatched the child from her hand and ran away. Based on the complaint, when the police investigated the case, the accused were identified as Vinay Verma, resident of Sukhdev Nagar police station area of Ranchi, and Saluja Begum, resident of Simdega district. When the police took these two into custody and interrogated them, it came to light that not only these two, but six other people are in this gang and the leader of this gang is Sajid Ansari alias Bablu, living in Chanho police station area of Ranchi.
A deal was made for Rs 1.20 lakh
After this revelation, the police have arrested all the members of the gang. Police said that after kidnapping Madhu Devi’s child, these miscreants had also sold it to him for Rs 1 lakh 20 thousand. This child was sold to Mahendra Sao, resident of Itkhori police station area of Chatra district. Based on the trace and identification of the miscreants, the police raided and recovered the child. Ranchi Senior Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Singh said that the team of City SP Rajkumar Mehta has exposed this gang.

Police recovered the child safely and handed him over to his family members. He said that the arrested accused have been identified as Vinay Verma of Sukhdev Nagar police station area of Ranchi, Saluja Begum of Simdega, Krishna Mishra, resident of Ramgarh, Geeta Munda, resident of Chanho of Ranchi. Sajid Ansari alias Bablu has been identified as Mahendra Sao, Kunti Devi and Sarita Devi, residents of Itkhori in Chatra district.
