A case of attempt to rape a government woman officer has come to light in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh. The woman Naib Tehsildar posted in Sadar Tehsil of the district has accused her own counterpart Naib Tehsildar Ghanshyam Shukla of robbing her respect. The female officer has lodged a complaint in the police station. According to the complaint lodged with the police, on the day of Diwali, Naib Tehsildar Ghanshyam Shukla, who lives next to his official residence, knocked on his door at around 1 am in the night. When the female officer did not open the door, Ghanshyam Shukla forcibly entered the female officer’s house by breaking the door. Started trying to forcibly rape the woman.
Crossing the limits of brutality, Ghanshyam Shukla even strangulated the female officer. When accused Ghanshyam Shukla understood that the woman had died. Then he left him. After this Ghanshyam Shukla left from there. The victim hid under the cover of her bed sheet. But the accused heard this sound. After this he once again pounced on the female officer. The woman pushed the accused and came out. The accused Ghanshyam Shukla was locked in the room from outside.
Police did not show interest in the case
The woman told the police that the night of Diwali has become a lifelong dream for her. After this heinous crime that happened with the female officer, the police did not show any interest in the case. After this, BJP MLC Devendra Pratap Singh tweeted this matter. Then there was panic in the police department.
Police registered a case under these sections
The police hurriedly got the female officer medicalized late at night. After much effort, the police has registered the case against the woman officer. In this case, Basti police has registered a case against the accused Naib Tehsildar Ghanshyam Shukla under serious sections like 376, 452, 323, 504, 354, 307 and 511 and started further investigation.
