Ranking of cities according to traffic in India
Amsterdam-based TomTom company has released a report giving the traffic condition of 387 cities of the world. TomTom company has described Bengaluru city of Karnataka state as the most congested city of India in its 2023 report. At the same time, it has been placed at number six in the world. In this 13th traffic index, India’s Bengaluru and Pune have been ranked sixth and seventh among the top 10 cities with the worst level of traffic. Let us talk if the city of London in the United Kingdom has got the first position in this report’s number one ranking in the world. Whereas, Dublin of Ireland has got the second ranking and Toronto of Canada has got the third ranking.
According to this report, the average time taken to cover a distance of 10 kilometers in London is 37 minutes 20 seconds. The congestion level of this city is 45 percent. Whereas in Bengaluru city of India, it takes 28 minutes 10 seconds to complete a distance of 10 kilometers. The congestion level of Bengaluru city is 63 percent. It takes 27 minutes 50 seconds to travel 10 kilometers in Pune. The congestion level of this city is 57 percent. Traffic increases a lot in the morning and evening due to which it takes a lot of time to go from one place to another. According to the report, it takes 15 minutes more time to travel within the city in the morning and 19 minutes more in the evening.
