Jayant Chaudhary had joined hands with Akhilesh
Jayant Chaudhary’s party RLD joining NDA is being considered as a big blow for the opposition alliance India because recently former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav had made a big announcement regarding seat sharing with Jayant Chaudhary. Akhilesh Yadav had congratulated SP and RLD while sharing a photo with Jayant Chaudhary on his social media handle. After talking to Jayant Chaudhary, Akhilesh Yadav agreed to give 7 seats to RLD. However, before this he was given only three seats.
The rumor had increased after grandfather received Bharat Ratna.
Meanwhile, the Central Government has announced to give Bharat Ratna to Chaudhary Charan Singh, former Prime Minister of the country and leader of farmers. After the announcement of Bharat Ratna, Jayant Choudhary had tweeted and said, he has won the heart. Since then, it was considered certain that Jayant Chaudhary would join hands with NDA. He had also expressed his gratitude to PM Modi after the decision to honor his grandfather Chaudhary Charan Singh with Bharat Ratna.
BJP’s eye on 27 seats in Western UP
BJP’s mission behind including Jayant Choudhary in NDA is to cross the target of 400. Jayant Chaudhary mainly comes from Western UP which is considered a Jat, farmer and Muslim dominated area. There are 27 Lok Sabha seats in Western UP. In the 2019 assembly elections, BJP had won 19 out of 27 seats. The remaining 4 seats went to SP and 4 seats to BSP. RLD’s account was not even opened. However, now it remains to be seen how many seats BJP gives to RLD in UP.
