Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav
Former CM of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has received the invitation for the consecration of Ram temple in Ayodhya on Saturday evening. He himself gave this information on Saturday. After receiving the invitation, he has made his position clear regarding attending the program to be held in Ayodhya. Akhilesh Yadav has also thanked Champat Rai, General Secretary of Ram Mandir Trust, for sending the invitation.
After receiving the invitation, a formal statement was issued by Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh Yadav has said this in a statement issued on social media platform X. Thank you for the warm invitation to the consecration ceremony of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Ayodhya and best wishes for the successful completion of the ceremony. We will definitely come as visitors with our families after the consecration ceremony. Thanks again for the invitation.

Akhilesh Yadav has made it clear that he will not participate in the program on 22 January. Akhilesh is not the only leader among those who refused to participate in this program. Before him, the Congress party had also refused to participate in the program calling it a program of BJP.
Congress has also refused
On behalf of Ram Mandir Trust, invitation was sent to former Congress Party President Sonia Gandhi along with current party President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress leader in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Choudhary. After receiving the invitation, the Congress party refused to attend the program terming it a political program of BJP.
