The standing crops in the fields were destroyed due to the hailstorm. After the hailstorm, on Sunday, Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel visited various villages of the district and took stock of the crop damage.
Satyanarayan Gaur, a farmer of village Pantalai in the district, says that hailstorm started from 3.30 pm, which happened till morning, in which wheat-gram crops were completely destroyed. There is a demand from the government that our crop loss should be compensated.
Satyanarayana told that the surrounding area including village Pantalai, Chidgaon, Balagaon, Gadamod, Bamangaon, Doodh Kutch, Khampadwa received heavy hailstorm for about half an hour with heavy rains, due to which wheat, gram and other crops stood in the farmers’ fields. badly destroyed.
Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel visited the crop areas destroyed by hailstorm and instructed the officials to conduct the survey. He said that after surveying the damage caused by hailstorm in entire Madhya Pradesh in 72 hours, instructions have been given to the District Collector and other officers to get 25 percent of the compensation amount soon. Also said that soon the PM crop insurance amount of 2020 will also be given to the farmers, in which the farmers will benefit financially.
