New Delhi: Central employees can get good news soon regarding the stuck dearness allowance (DA) arrears. It is believed that by January 26, the government can take a big decision on this issue and the employees can be paid their outstanding DA arrears. It is worth noting that the payment of pending DA of central employees and increase in DA have been done, but they have not yet received the outstanding DA arrears of 18 months.

The employees have been demanding the stuck money of DA arrears for a long time. Meanwhile, there are reports that the government may take a decision on this issue around January 26. It is being told that the government can pay the DA arrears in a lump sum.

Central employees will get benefit of up to Rs 2 lakh

If this happens, the employees will get a benefit of up to Rs 2 lakh. The DA arrears of Level-1 employees ranges from Rs 11880 to Rs 37554. At the same time, if money is added for Level-13 and Level-14, then an employee will be paid Rs 144200 to Rs 218200 of DA arrears.

Interaction between the officials of the Employees’ Union and the Ministry of Finance

According to the information, talks were held between the National Council of JCM, Department of Personnel and Training and the Ministry of Finance in this regard. However, no concrete answer has been received yet. JCM says that talks are going on with the government and it is expected that talks can be held with the cabinet secretary soon on this issue.

Prime Minister can take final decision on stuck arrears

The National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM) has put forth a demand in front of the government that while restoring the DA, one time settlement should also be done on the pending DA arrears of 18 months. If Prime Minister Modi gives the green signal, then at the end of this year a huge amount can come in the account of the employees.

Central employees will get big benefit

Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM), says that if we talk about Level 1 employees, then the arrears on DA are between Rs 11880 to Rs 37554. The same if we talk about level 13 employees, then their basic pay is made between Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900.

Indian Pensioners’ Forum made this appeal to the Prime Minister

Let us tell you that the matter of 18 months arrears has reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now PM Modi will decide regarding the arrears. The Pensioners Forum of India has also written a letter to the Prime Minister regarding arrears payment. The BMS has appealed to the Prime Minister to intervene in this matter and direct the Finance Ministry to release the arrears of DA, DR withheld between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 at the earliest. We would be extremely grateful for immediate action in this matter.

DA may again increase by 2 to 3 percent

Significantly, there is a possibility of increase in Dearness Allowance (DA), Dearness Relief (DR) once again in the new year. The government can increase the DA of central employees by 2 to 3 percent. After this increase, the DA of central employees will increase to 33 or 34 percent from the current 31 percent. However, this has not been confirmed by the central government yet. The government can also take a big decision in the new year on the fitment factor of central employees. With this, there can be a significant increase in the salary of central employees and pension of pensioners.
