New Delhi: There is good news for central employees. In the coming few days, the central employees can get great news. The government may soon increase the dearness allowance (DA) of central employees. Along with this, the government can also announce to give the outstanding DA arrears to the central employees. This decision of the government will not only increase the salary of the central employee, but will also get a big relief from getting the arrears.
Let us tell you that the central government has not given arrears to the central employees on the DA arrears for 18 months. Employees have been demanding long pending DA payment. In such a situation, if the government pays the outstanding DA, then the employees will get a big relief.
Meanwhile, the way has been cleared for increase in dearness allowance of central employees. AICPI data till November 2021 has been released by the Labor Department. The figures for December will also come in the next few days. With this, this time the DA of central employees can increase by 2 to 3 percent. At present, central employees are getting DA at the rate of 31 per cent.
Significantly, there is a possibility of increase in Dearness Allowance (DA), Dearness Relief (DR) once again in the new year. The government can increase the DA of central employees by 2 to 3 percent. After this increase, the DA of central employees will increase to 33 or 34 percent from the current 31 percent. However, this has not been confirmed by the central government yet. The government can also take a big decision in the new year on the fitment factor of central employees. With this, there can be a substantial increase in the salary of central employees and pension of pensioners.
The employees have been demanding the stuck money of DA arrears for a long time. Meanwhile, there are reports that the government may take a decision on this issue around January 26. It is being told that the government can pay the DA arrears in a lump sum.
If this happens, the employees will get a benefit of up to Rs 2 lakh. The DA arrears of Level-1 employees ranges from Rs 11880 to Rs 37554. At the same time, if money is added for Level-13 and Level-14, then an employee will be paid Rs 144200 to Rs 218200 of DA arrears.
According to the information, talks were held between National Council of JCM, Department of Personnel and Training and Ministry of Finance in this regard. However, no concrete answer has been received yet. JCM says that talks are going on with the government and it is expected that talks can be held with the cabinet secretary soon on this issue.
The National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM) has put forth a demand in front of the government that while restoring the DA, one time settlement should also be done on the pending DA arrears of 18 months. If Prime Minister Modi gives the green signal, then by the end of this year a huge amount can come in the account of the employees.
Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM), says that if we talk about Level 1 employees, then the arrears on DA are between Rs 11880 to Rs 37554. The same if we talk about level 13 employees, then their basic pay is made between Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900.
Let us tell you that the matter of 18 months arrears has reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Now PM Modi will decide regarding the arrears. The Pensioners Forum of India has also written a letter to the Prime Minister regarding arrears payment. The BMS has appealed to the Prime Minister to intervene in this matter and direct the Finance Ministry to release the arrears of DA, DR withheld between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021 at the earliest. We would be extremely grateful for immediate action in this matter.
