How to reach Kainchi Dham?
Bunty told that you can reach Kainchi Dham through any mode of transport. If you want to come by train, then after reaching Kathgodam station, take a bus or taxi, through which you can easily reach Neem Karoli Baba’s Ashram. You can also reach Baba’s Ashram by road by bus or your personal vehicle. We left Meerut at 9 in the morning. Our journey was 250 km. You will reach Nainital via Meerut, Bijnor route. Then from Nainital you will directly reach Kainchi Dham i.e. the ashram of Baba Neem Karoli. The important thing is that either you know how to drive well or else take a driver with you. Since it is a hilly road, it will be good for safety if only experts drive the vehicle.
How to have darshan?
After reaching Neem Karoli Baba’s Ashram, you will not need to ask anything from anyone. No matter how many people crowd there to see Baba, the staff deployed at the Ashram try their best to ensure that you do not face any kind of problem. We had earlier gone there and taken Prasad from the temple shops. Baba is offered only gram flour laddu prasad there, apart from this you cannot offer any kind of prasad there, hence you should not bring any kind of prasad from home. If you want to donate something separately, you can do that. After offering Prasad, we had darshan of Baba’s divine form in idol form, which brought great peace to our disturbed mind.
Hanuman ji’s temple is in Kainchi Dham
There is a temple of Hanuman ji in Kainchi Dham itself, the idol of Hanuman ji was installed here on 15 June 1964. Therefore, if you ever come to Kainchi Dham in the month of June, then here you will get to see a huge bhandara and fair on that day. This fair and Bhandara is organized every year. Therefore, if you want to come to Nainital in the month of June, then definitely visit Kainchi Dham. In those days, along with the darshan of Baba, you will also enjoy the Prasad of Bhandara and the fair organized there.
What are the food and drink arrangements?
Our journey was long, so now we were feeling hungry, so we thought of taking rest for some time and eating something. If you are also going to Bijnor via Meerut, then Bajpur will come on your way where you can rest for some time. There you will find restaurants and dhabas along the food line, you must have breakfast and lunch from here before traveling further. Do enjoy delicious tea and parathas here. Whatever you feel like eating, you can order it here. Food rates here are also not high. The food bill for 3-4 of us here was only Rs 500. After breakfast we left for darshan.
What will be the room rent?
You will also find many hotels around Kainchi Dham. Whose fares vary. There you will get a room for Rs 2000. But we came back and stayed in Nainital. Here also you will get a room for up to Rs 2000. The distance of the ashram from Nainital is about 16 km. So after having darshan of Baba, you can spend the night in the beautiful valleys of Nainital.
how was the weather there ?
We went in the month of September, when the weather was very pleasant. There will be no need to carry winter clothes separately. The weather will remain normal during the day. But you will find it cold at night, no matter what season you go. Therefore, you will get very good weather which you can enjoy.
What will be your travel budget?
We 4 people went to Kainchi Dham in a group for Baba’s darshan. If I talk about travel budget, then the budget will depend on your journey and how you complete your journey in some way. The entire journey cost around Rs 6000 for 4 of us. Which includes petrol, food and one day night stay in Nainital. So even in a low budget, you can visit the beautiful valleys of Nainital and visit Neem Karoli Baba.
What has been your experience
Our travel experience was very good. We did not face any problem during the journey. The mental peace that I and the people accompanying me got after the journey is amazing. Your mind becomes very happy after seeing the idol form of Baba. After having Baba’s darshan, I got relief from the deep despair that had been engulfing my mind for a long time. The mind is very happy. My business is doing very well again. All this is due to Baba’s grace. I would like to go for Baba’s darshan with my family in future also.
