Ingredients of Dal Makhani
- Whole urad dal – 1 cup
- Rajma- 1/4 cup
- fresh butter- 3 tsp
- Ginger, Garlic and Tomato Paste
- finely chopped onion
- Fresh cream- half cup
- Green chilli (as required)
- Kasoori Methi (a little)
- Green coriander, cumin, red chilli, turmeric, cinnamon
- Green cardamom and cloves- 4
How to make Dal Makhani
To make this, wash and soak lentils and kidney beans overnight. After this, add about 3 cups of water and salt in the cooker. Wait for 8 whistles on medium flame. When the pressure is released, open the cooker and pulse a little using a churner. After this, pour the mixture into the pan, add all the spices including cumin, cinnamon and onion and fry for 2 minutes. Then add ginger-garlic paste, green chilli, red chilli, turmeric and tomato puree. Once the spices are roasted, mix boiled lentils in it. Cook the dal on low flame for 10 minutes. Your Dal Makhani is ready.
Ingredients of Butter Chicken
- 500 grams chicken
- 3 tomatoes, butter, curd
- Mustard oil, green chilli, clove and cardamom
- Cinnamon, Kasuri Methi, Garam Masala, Red Chilli
- Lemon juice, salt, ginger and garlic paste and onion

Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces, add red chilli powder, salt, lemon juice and ginger and garlic paste and marinate it. After this, roast the chicken in the oven for half an hour. Now add cloves, cinnamon and cardamom in the pan and fry. After some time, add tomato, garlic and ginger and mix well. In another vessel, add ginger and garlic paste and then add tomato puree and let it cook. Now add Kasuri Methi to the mixture of all the spices and add roasted chicken. After cooking for about 15 minutes, add green chilli cream and mix well. Your butter chicken is ready.
