Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 13th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on 27 February. This time 8.54 crore farmers have taken advantage of the PM Kisan Yojana. At the same time, the central government spent Rs 16800 crore for the 13th installment. However, the number of beneficiaries of PM Kisan has decreased in the 13th installment.
According to the report of News18, during the 12th installment, 8.99 crore farmers had taken advantage of the scheme. At the same time, maximum number of farmers took advantage of the PM Kisan Yojana during the 11th installment. The 12th installment was released on October 17 last year, while the 11th installment was released on May 31. Then 11.27 crore farmers had taken advantage of the 11th installment. In such a situation, we can say that after the 11th installment, the number of beneficiaries is gradually decreasing.
According to the central government, on May 31 last year, more than Rs 21,000 crore were transferred for the 11th installment. At the same time, Rs 16,800 crore was transferred to the farmers’ accounts as the 13th installment this year. Explain that under PM-Kisan, the central government gives 6000 rupees in a year to marginal farmers across the country in every financial year.
The special thing is that the central government transfers this amount to the farmers’ account in three equal installments of Rs 2000-2000. At the same time, it is being said that the reason for the decline in the number of beneficiaries is that the beneficiary records of the farmers are not updated in the central database. Many farmers have not yet updated e-KYC. Also, the bank account has not been linked with Aadhaar. If farmer brothers want to take advantage of PM Kisan, then get e-KYC updated immediately.
Let us tell you that on May 31 last year, the 11th installment was released. Then 2.41 crore farmers in Uttar Pradesh took advantage of it. But during the 12th installment released on last October 17, its number decreased to 1.79 crores. However, information about the 13th installment has not come yet.
