Kolkata News: After 11 years in Samajwadi Party, the executive meeting has started in Kolkata from today. The election strategy will be discussed in this meeting being chaired by SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav.
Samajwadi Party’s National Executive meeting is being held in Kolkata from today. SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav himself is presiding over this two-day meeting. Akhilesh Yadav’s Chaya Ram Gopal Yadav, Shivpal Yadav, Swami Prasad Maurya and other SP leaders are participating in this. In the meeting, there will be a brainstorm regarding the proposed Lok Sabha elections next year. Apart from this, the party’s strategy will also be decided regarding the assembly elections to be held in three Hindi-speaking states at the end of this year.

Samajwadi Party’s National Vice President Kiranmoy Nanda has organized the National Executive of the party after a gap of 11 years. When the National Executive was organized 11 years ago, Samajwadi Party’s founder and late leader Mulayam Singh Yadav presided over it. But in his absence, the party supremo Akhilesh Yadav is presiding over the meeting.

To attend this meeting being held in Kolkata, SP leaders from all over the country started reaching Kolkata from Friday afternoon itself. At the same time, party leaders and office bearers from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra and other states reached Kolkata till late night. Akhilesh Yadav himself also reached Kolkata on Friday evening itself and reviewed the preparations for the meeting.

In the meeting of the National Executive, the defeat in the last Lok Sabha and then in the assembly elections is also being reviewed. In this, especially those mistakes are being identified, due to which the party’s downfall has taken place. The main focus of the party is to rectify these mistakes and contest the upcoming assembly and Lok Sabha elections with full gusto. Efforts are being made in the meeting that every office bearer and worker can put forth their point on the floor.

According to the party’s national vice-president Kiranmoy Nanda, assembly elections are to be held in Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh by the end of this year. In these elections, the party wants to go full throttle. In this meeting, there will be a detailed discussion in this regard and the party will prepare a strategy with one opinion. Similarly, the strategy will be decided by forming an opinion in the party regarding the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

There are also reports of SP supremo Akhilesh Yadav’s meeting with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in Kolkata before the meeting. However, so far no official statement has come from the SP regarding this meeting. Party’s National Vice President Nanda was also seen avoiding discussion in this regard while talking to the media. Said that nothing has been decided in this regard yet. If the Chief Minister is in the city, then it is natural that she would meet the SP supremo.

Kiranmoy Nanda told that the meeting of the National Executive of the party is not being held for the first time. He told that this time there has been a delay of 11 years in this meeting, but earlier in the year 2012 the meeting was held. At the same time, before that, the meetings of the National Executive have been held four times. That’s why no question can be raised about this meeting of the party.
