Giving a big gift to the election state of Karnataka, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway on Sunday. The 5 features of this 118 km long expressway make it very special.
Bangalore is not only the tech hub of the state of Karnataka, but also of the country. While Mysuru is a historical and cultural city. That’s why Prime Minister Narendra Modi described this express as a confluence of technology with culture.
The Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway will reduce the travel time between the two cities by 118 km. Now this travel time is about 3.5 hours, which will now be reduced to 1.5 hours.
Under this project, the Bangalore-Nidaghat-Mysuru section of National Highway-275 has also been made 6-lane. The cost of this entire project is Rs 8,408 crore.
This high-speed expressway has been completed in two different phases. The first phase is 61 km from Nidaghat to Mysuru and the second phase is 58 km from Bengaluru to Nidaghat.
There is an elevated corridor of 8 km in this corridor. In this, 42 small bridges, 64 underpasses, 11 flyovers, 4 road over bridges and 5 bypasses have been built.
This expressway will increase tourism in both the cities. The Dussehra festival of Mysuru is world famous. At the same time, people turn to Bangalore to go to tourist places like Ooty.
