Bajhang district of Nepal falls in the high risk zone of earthquake.

The earthquake that occurred in Nepal on Tuesday shook Delhi-NCR. The epicenter of the earthquake was Bajhang area of Nepal. Many houses collapsed in Bajhang and Chainpur areas due to the earthquake. Many roads were blocked due to landslides. Bajhang, which was said to be the epicenter of the earthquake in Nepal, is already in the risk zone. According to Nepal’s National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center, earthquakes occurred several times in Bajhang district on Tuesday. The first earthquake of 5.3 and the second 6.3 magnitude earthquake occurred.

This is not the first time that the earthquake in Bajhang showed its impact for thousands of kilometers. There was an earthquake in Nepal on November 12 last year. The epicenter of that earthquake was also Bajhang district. It is 440 kilometers away from Kathmandu. Even before this, the effect of the earthquake that occurred here has been visible on North India.

    Bajhang district in risk zone

The entire Bajhang district of Nepal comes in the risk zone. According to the District Education Development and Coordination Unit of Nepal, Bajhang is the district where the risk of natural disasters is highest. This includes natural disasters like earthquakes and landslides. 122 schools here are in danger. Last year, incidents of landslides occurred here. Floods occurred. More than 50 schools were damaged and normal life was affected.

According to a report, Nepal is in that dangerous zone of the world, which is called the most active tectonic zone. Seismic activity has been recorded several times in this part. This is the reason why it is the area most at risk for natural disasters like earthquakes. In Nepal, alerts are issued from time to time when the situation worsens and in many reports it has been described as a risk zone.

    Highest danger here in Nepal

The research report of IIT Kanpur says that according to the geographical location, 22 districts of Nepal are in the highest risk zone of earthquake. Bajhang district is also included in this. There has been talk of danger in the areas surrounding this district of Nepal. According to geologists, it has happened many times when the impact of the earthquake that occurred here has been felt till North India. However, no major impact has been seen so far. No loss of life has been observed, but due to geographical location, North India has not remained untouched by the earthquakes occurring there.

The first earthquake struck Bajhang on Tuesday morning. The second shock that occurred here at 2:40 pm was so strong that its impact was felt till Delhi NCR. Houses cracked in Nepal. There was a stir in Delhi. However, there is no news of any death in Nepal. Relief work has been started here.
