India has been placed at 103rd position in the Hanke Annual Misery Index. The people of India are troubled by unemployment. Because of this, its number is more than 100th in the list of pathetic countries. India’s neighboring country Pakistan ranks 35th in the Annual Misery Index. Inflation rate is rising wildly in Pakistan and it has been described as the primary factor for its pathetic condition. Significantly, Pakistan is going through economic and political challenges. There are many countries in Africa among the most pathetic countries in this list.

According to Steve Hanke’s Annual Misery Index, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, Syria, Lebanon, Sudan, Argentina, Yemen, Ukraine, Cuba, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Haiti, Angola, Tonga and Ghana have got a place in the world’s 15 miserable countries. Hanke has released a list of top 15 pathetic countries on Twitter based on his analysis. He tweeted, “Zimbabwe is the worst country in the world in the Annual Misery Index due to extraordinary inflation, high unemployment, lending rates and weak GDP, need I say more.”

Which countries are the happiest
Cuba is at number nine in the Annual Misery Index ranking. On this, he said that the destructive economic policies have ruined this country. Finland has been named the happiest country in the world for six consecutive years by the World Happiness Report. He was ranked 109th in Steve Hanke’s Annual Misery Index.
