Vaishnav said this while introducing the 5G Right of Way Application Portal to facilitate rapid spread of telecom infrastructure. He said that India is one of the countries providing the cheapest mobile services and it is expected that this trend will continue for 5G services as well.

The Union Minister said that we expect an investment of about 2.5 to three lakh crore rupees in the industry. Three lakh crore rupees is a big investment. It is also creating good employment opportunities. We estimate that in the next two to three years, 5G services will reach almost all parts of the country. Companies have indicated that the service will start soon
Reliance Jio has said that it is close to starting 5G services, while it is expected that it can be announced at the AGM to be held next week. At the same time, Vodafone Idea has also started the countdown. In a message sent to its customers, Vodafone has said that it is going to start 5G service soon. Prior to this, the spectrum allocation process has been completed and along with the initial amount deposited by the companies, certificates for spectrum have also been allotted to them.
