The logistics that came with the army were running out, but the objective of the siege did not seem to be fulfilled. This long siege of five months was deliberately done by Jalaluddin. He wanted that if the ration in the fort ends, then Rana’s power will end automatically, but his guess was proving wrong.

The Rajput camp could not tolerate the death of its commander. The Rajput army attacked the Mughal army, but in no time the Mughal army entered inside the fort. Whoever was found was killed. More than 30 thousand innocent people were put to death. Even women and children were not spared. The Rajput women who survived the attack of the Mughal army, jumped into the fire of Jauhar.
A lesson from Chishti made Akbar
It is said that after the victory at Chittor fort, Akbar stayed there for three days and after that, when he returned, he went to Fatehpur Sikri to see the Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chishti. It is said that despite being the emperor of India, he was very worried about his heir. Despite three marriages, he had no children.
When he reached Chishti, he reprimanded Jalaluddin. According to historians, Chishti said that the one who made the laps of thousands of mothers empty, has come to ask for children for himself. Chishti only taught that consider your Riya as your child. So this dream of yours will also be fulfilled. After this, Akbar fought wars, but avoided shedding the blood of innocents. He ruled by taking Hindus and Muslims together. Jalaluddin was honored with the honor of Akbar by the happy people under his rule. Akbar means great in Arabic language.
