Patna or rather the whole A state in Eastern India The earth is very fertile in terms of movements. independence Many movements started from this land were decisive before and after. The chair up to CM, PM has gone. Started from this land of Bihar JP movement After Indira Gandhi’s chair had gone away, now about one and a half dozen political parties have raised the alarm to remove Narendra Modi from the Prime Minister’s chair from this very earth. Its first formal meeting was held on 23 June in Patna. Everyone unitedly resolved to fight against the BJP for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The result of this political movement will come only in 2024. Even before that, there are still many hurdles in it, which have to be resolved by all the opposition parties together. Come, on this pretext, let us know about those movements of Bihar, which got recorded in history and their impact was nationwide.
Student movement against Agneepath scheme
As 2022 the new year had just begun. The youth of Bihar raised the flag against the central government’s Agneepath scheme. He also got the support of the entire opposition. Within no time, the movement took the form of sabotage and arson. Many trains were also burnt. This movement gained more momentum when students, youths who were angry with the results of RRB, NTPC also jumped.
Its effect spread beyond Patna to almost entire Bihar and other parts of the country. National property worth crores of rupees was damaged. The police acted very strictly, but since political parties also joined it, its form kept deteriorating. Nothing came out of this movement which lasted for about two months. Recruitment has been done in all the three wings of the Indian Army under the Agneepath scheme. After completing the training, the youth have started serving the country. Along with this, this movement has also been recorded in the pages of history.

mandal commission report
In the year 1990, then Prime Minister VP Singh implemented the Mandal Commission report. It was opposed in the whole country, but the upper caste youth of Bihar did a historic movement. A huge amount of government property was damaged. The movement was violent so arson was common. Anger was so much that the youth were burning themselves too. Wasn’t ready to listen to anyone. The demand of the agitators was that the government should end caste reservation and implement it on economic basis. In this movement also the political parties supported the youth. With his entry, the form of the movement became widespread and its echoes were heard across the country.
JP movement
It was such a movement against the Emergency that started from the land of Bihar, whose echoes are still heard. This movement got recorded in the books because it had a nationwide impact. The students had also started this movement. There was no leader. The police beat him up. sent to jail. Later, socialist leader Jai Prakash Narayan led it with some conditions and soon the movement reached many parts of the country. Indira Gandhi had to lose the PM’s chair. This movement got the name Sampoorna Kranti. The people of India, troubled by the Emergency, removed the Congress from power. Even Indira Gandhi lost the election.
Nehru had to come
It is about the year 1955. The students of Bihar did a tremendous movement. Its echoes reached Delhi. In spite of all efforts, when the movement did not stop, but kept increasing, then PM Nehru came to Patna. But it didn’t work out. The students were agitated over the issue of bus tickets. The agitation increased so much that a student died.
Later the matter calmed down when then Transport Minister Mahesh Singh resigned. In this movement, he emerged as a villain, the result was that he lost the ministerial post, and later he lost even the elections. In another student movement in the year 1967, KB Sahay, who was the CM, had to resign and Mahamaya Sinha, who called these students a piece of liver, was crowned as the CM. After the movement, KV Sahai was defeated till the election.
Bihar has given a lot of sacrifices
Bihar has given a lot of sacrifices for independence also. The slogan of Quit India started from here and echoed all over India. Champaran Satyagraha under the leadership of Gandhi also left its mark in the whole country. In this way it would be appropriate to call the land of Bihar the land of movements. Whenever the students, farmers and laborers of Bihar did agitation, the country heard it. The power establishment shook. Whether the government was of the British or of our own people after independence, Bihar made everyone lick the dust.
Now it remains to be seen whether the beginning of opposition unity started by CM Nitish Kumar from the same Bihar land will blossom? Will Modi really be out of power or will the opposition disintegrate before the elections? If the entire opposition remains united and contests the election together, then who will be the contender for the post of PM? These are some of the questions that will be answered before and after the elections.
