Prime Minister Narendra Modi 12 February i.e. today Delhi-Mumbai Expressway will inaugurate the Its first part till Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot has been completed. The 246 km long Delhi-Dausa-Lalsot section has been built at a cost of Rs 12,150 crore. After the inauguration, traffic between Delhi and Jaipur will start from Saturday itself. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway with a length of 1,386 km is the longest expressway in the country.

1- First talk of world record
Describing the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway as a great achievement, Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari wrote on Twitter, two records have been made during its construction. First, this 4-lane expressway was laid up to 2.5 km in 24 hours. Second- A world record has also been created for putting the maximum amount of charcoal in 100 hours in a single lane of 50 km. 25 lakh tonnes of charcoal is to be used in preparing this expressway. Apart from this, 4000 trained engineers were engaged in the construction work of this expressway.

2- Highway with 94 types of facilities
Usually limited facilities are provided on the highway. For example, fuel service, but the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway has joined the modern highways of the world in many ways. 94 types of facilities will be available in the entire highway. It will be equipped with many facilities including ATMs, parking, recharge stations, dormitories, hospitals, food courts, fuel stations.
3- Asia’s first such expressway
This expressway will pass through five states of the country. It enters Haryana first after Delhi. After this, it will enter Maharashtra via Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Care has also been taken to ensure that there is no harm to the reserve forests and animals that fall during entry in these states. For example, in Ranthambore, the National Highway Authority of India has made many underpasses and overpasses to allow animals to escape and prevent their accidents. According to the report of HT Auto, this is the first expressway in Asia to do so.Not only this, there are two tunnels on the way of this expressway which passes through Mukandra Sanctuary of Rajasthan and Eco-Sensitive Zone of Maharashtra without causing any harm to them.
4- Eight-lane highway that can be converted into 12
The entire expressway is of 8 lines, but it can be converted into 12 lines keeping in mind the needs in future. It is one of the widest highways in the country. The Union Minister has claimed that there is no such long 12-lane highway anywhere in the world. Here the car can be driven at a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. It will work to connect Kota, Indore, Jaipur, Bhopal, Vadodara and Surat between Delhi-Mumbai.
5- Highway with green energy
Keeping in mind the effect of climate change and zero carbon policy in the country, here Green energy will be promoted. About 20 lakh trees are being planted along the expressway. Both solar energy and state grid will be used in this expressway. Apart from this, it is being said that in the future, trains/trams will run on electricity here. Due to which there will be relief in many ways.
