Originally living in Alappuzha, Kerala, Faizal Yusuf had a passion for tea, he made this passion his career and started a business which has become a brand today. this is how it started
Faizal told that his father had passed away at an early age. After this life kept teaching things and I kept moving forward. According to Faizal, he was in high school only, then he started the work of distributing newspapers, during this time the owner passed away and that news agency was found, but there was no future in it, so he left it. And marketing. Meanwhile, got a chance to go abroad and one day decided to settle in England. Worked there in the food and beverages industry for 10 years. After this the idea of ’The Chai Wala’ came.
One experiment changed life
Faizal Yusuf told in an interview that while working in the food and beverage industry in England, he realized that Masala Chai was not available here, so he started experimenting with preparing mustard recipes.
When he started getting success, he started setting up tea stalls in the small market of England and slowly started getting success. Although Faizal considers India to be the main for his business. He says that tea business can flourish in India, that is why he returned home in 2018, because everyone here is fond of tea. This is where I started my The Chai Wala.

Faizal said that when I started the first stall, the family members said that the idea is not good, but I continued on my way. He told that every stall of The Chai Wala is black and white in colour, 50 types of tea, snacks, coffee are available here. Their prices start from Rs.15 to Rs.80. Now this work of his has spread to the country and abroad.
