In this way both together gave speed to the company. In Indigo, Rahul held 51.12 percent and Rakesh Gangwal 48 percent. However, later there was disagreement between the two on many matters, then Rakesh Gangwal resigned in February 2022.

For example, focusing on economy class, adopting fuel saving strategy, trying to make passengers travel at low cost, including women in cabin crew instead of men because they weigh less. This is the reason that the company has included maximum number of Airbus 320 in its fleet.
The cost of training was reduced by using the same aircraft and the strategy of saving fuel was working. Gradually the company stopped giving free meals to the airline. Stopped the facility like entertainment. This resulted in reduction of expenses and increase in profits.
When Indigo started, it ordered a large number of aircraft. In the year 2005, a deal of 100 aircraft was signed with Airbus. Due to the purchase of so many planes together, they got them at a lower price. After many ups and downs, Indigo made its own identity.
1800 flights take place daily
Currently Indigo is operating 1800 aircraft daily. Indigo flights fly to 78 cities of the country. Indigo has a fleet of 314 aircraft that fly to 26 international destinations around the world. Indigo retires its planes in about 6 years. Talking about the domestic aviation market, Indigo has 61.4% stake in it.
