How did GOAT become popular?
It is believed that the famous American rapper LL Cool J made an album in the year 2000. Whose song’s lyrics were – I am the goat / The greatest of all time. Then this song became very popular. After this, in 2016, Cool J gave his new offer on the word GOAT, keeping boxer Muhammad Ali in the center. And then in the year 2018, the word GOAT was also included in the dictionary of Merriam-Webster, an American publishing institute. After this, after being paired with American football player Tom Brady in the year 2018, the popularity of the word GOAT increased further. In fact, Tom Brady also has an important role in making GOAT popular. After the Olympic victory of swimmer Michael Phelps, the word GOAT started trending even more than before.

Boxer Muhammad Ali did a comedy album when he was 21 years old – I am the Greatest! In 1964, the album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Performance. It is said that Muhammad Ali won the World Heavyweight Championship six months after recording it. When he retired from boxing in 1992 and his health was failing, his wife Lonnie Ali formed a firm called Greatest of All Time (GOAT Inc) to manage him. However, in the year 2006, this firm was sold.
Today the word GOAT is used indiscriminately in all fields. Fans regularly trend their posts on social media calling their favorite singer, actor, stand-up comedian the GOAT.
